Emerson's light

Nature is an endless combination and repetition of a very few laws. She hums the old well-known air through innumerable variations.

We lie in the lap of immense intelligence, which makes us receivers of its truth and organs of its activity. When we discern justice, when we discern truth, we do nothing of ourselves, but allow a passage to its beams.

The squirrel hoards nuts and the bee gathers honey, without knowing what they do, and they are thus provided for without selfishness or disgrace.
(man follows Truth, Truth is forever present, and similarly all other unconscious pursuits or natural yearnings seem to come back after the hunt)
