I picked up some prints at a garage sale last weekend and I've been wondering what the writing says. Can anyone help?

I think this must be in Farsi (Persian). I shall ask my venerable professor to decipher this!

Looks like illustrations of a Sufi tale.

Yes, in the back of the prints it says that one's about Emir Shahi and the other is an illustration of Hafiz's poem "The Lovers"

Hi Kozi, actually I thought this might be something from Hafiz, the great Persian poet and Sufi. I just spoke to my professor and am now sending him to image files to look at.

Hi Kozi, my professor was unable to decipher the Persian text. Perhaps this is because this is very old, while he is familiar with modern Persian.
