The heart in thee is the heart of all; not a valve, not a wall, not an intersection is there anywhere in nature, but one blood rolls uninterruptedly, an endless circulation through all men, as the water of the globe is all one sea, and, truly seen, its tide is one.

Hullo! Very best wishes, for your efforts to lead you to realising Oneness. Would be interesting to hear how you came to be interested in such "esoteric" things. Or as I joke with friends, "What went wrong with your upbringing?"! Best, rama

Hey Rama,

So to answer your question...

I was raised in a very Catholic home (I'm Polish, born in Krakow, Poland-98% Catholics), then I went away to Montreal for university, I tried continuing going to church and the whole bit, but it was a completely blind sort of faith. So I started neglecting it and stopped going to church all together. Then that summer I went treeplanting and I met some incredible people who spun my world around and introduced me to a lot of new ideas. http://f-ram.net/positivecreations/ (see a point of view of a peaceful warrior writings) being one of them. Then I got into Buddhism, the first book that got me started was "Awakening the Buddha Within". I sat in a bean bag chair in my apartment for days reading that book, being completely blown away. More conversations, more books, and an Islamic mysticism class started the ball rolling again.
I then focused in on mysticism and have been trying to learn and understand it ever since. I find mysticism as a sort of universal truth since it spans across all religions and I love it and it's beautiful and it's brought me back to understanding my roots.

Hi Kozi, thanks indeed for giving an account of your personal quest. Buddhism and Islamic mysticism - I too had been nourished by these two streams. Strangely, Buddhism and Islam have very little to do with one another, in the real world, except to snarl occasionally. But reading mystic tales and texts, one can see ancient coming-togethers and sharing.

Keep writing please!

Best, rama
